I have never prayed behind anyone whose prayer was more concise than that of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and his prayer was well-balanced in its parts. The prayer of Abu Bakr was likewise balanced. When Umar came, he lengthened the Fajr prayer.He said, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah hears whoever praises Him," he would stand so long that we would say he had forgotten. And he would sit between the two prostrations so long that we would say he had forgotten.
