The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to launch raids at the time of the dawn prayer, listening for the call to prayer. If he heard the adhan, he would hold back. Otherwise, he would attack.One day he listened and heard a man say, "Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He is upon the natural disposition."Then the man said, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You have come out of the Fire."
حدثنا يونس حدثنا حماد يعني ابن سلمة عن ثابت
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يغير عند صلاة الفجر فيستمع الأذان فإذا سمع الأذان أمسك وإلا أغار فاستمع ذات يوم فسمع رجلا يقول الله أكبر الله أكبر فقال رسول الله ﷺ على الفطرة فقال أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله فقال خرجت من النار
