He saw a silver ring on the hand of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for one day, so the people made silver rings and wore them. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ cast off his ring, and the people cast off their rings as well.
حدثنا هاشم حدثنا إبراهيم بن سعد قال سمعت الزهري
أنه رأى في يد رسول الله ﷺ خاتما من ورق يوما واحدا فصنع الناس الخواتيم من ورق فلبسوها فطرح رسول الله ﷺ خاتمه فطرح الناس خواتيمهم
