A girl went out wearing silver ornaments, and a Jew seized her, crushed her head with a stone, and took what she was wearing. She was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while a faint breath of life still remained in her.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked her, "Who killed you? Was it so-and-so?"She signalled with her head, "No."He asked, "So-and-so?"Again she signalled with her head, "No."He asked, "Was it so-and-so, the Jew?"She signalled with her head, "Yes."So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took hold of him and had his head crushed between two stones.Qatada, however, stated in his version of the report that the Jew confessed.
