The Prophet ﷺ took a pledge from the women, when he received their oath of allegiance, that they would not wail over the dead.They said, "Messenger of Allah, there are women who supported us in mourning during the days of ignorance. Shall we support them in mourning now under Islam?"The Prophet ﷺ replied, "There is no mutual support in wailing in Islam, no shighar marriage, no slaughtering at graves in Islam, no bringing in horses on race day in Islam, and no driving them alongside. Whoever plunders is not one of us."

أخذ النبي ﷺ على النساء حين بايعهن أن لا ينحن فقلن يا رسول الله إن نساء أسعدننا في الجاهلية أفنسعدهن في الإسلام فقال النبي ﷺ لا إسعاد في الإسلام ولا شغار ولا عقر في الإسلام ولا جلب في الإسلام ولا جنب ومن انتهب فليس منا
Its isnad is sahih. Their saying "they brought them happiness" means they brought them happiness through their kindness and companionship at funeral gatherings. As for his saying "there is no aqr in Islam," aqr originally means slaughtering, and what is meant here is what the people of pre-Islamic times used to do, slaughtering a camel so that the funeral procession would pass over it, and they would boast about the large numbers of animals they slaughtered.As for jalab and janab, their meanings have already been explained. The meaning of his saying "whoever plunders is not one of us" refers to the plundering that is forbidden, which is plundering from the army's spoils, the soldiers' food, or communally shared food.The hadith was narrated by Nasai (16/4, no. 1852), in the book of funerals, on wailing over the dead, and by Abdul-Razzaq (60/3, no. 6690), with similar wording, and by Ibn Hibban (189, no. 738) in Mawarid.
