Fatimah wept for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "My dear father, how close he has drawn to his Lord. My dear father, to Jibreel we announce his passing. My dear father, the Garden of Firdaws is his abode."
حدثنا عبد الرازق حدثنا معمر عن ثابت البناني
أن فاطمة بكت رسول الله ﷺ فقالت يا أبتاه من ربه ما أدناه يا أبتاه إلى جبريل ينعاه يا أبتاه جنة الفردوس مأواه
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari related the hadith in 8/149 no. 4462, Fath al-Bari, in the Book of Military Expeditions, chapter on the Prophet's illness. Nasai related it in 4/13 no. 1844, in the Book of Funerals, chapter on weeping over the dead. Ibn Majah related the same in 1/522 no. 1630, and Darimi related the same in 1/54 no. 87, in the Introduction.
