Anas bin Malik reported,

Itban bin Malik lost his eyesight, so he said, "Messenger of Allah, if you would come and pray in my home," or he said, "in my house, I would take the place where you prayed as a place of worship."So the Prophet ﷺ came and prayed in his home, or he said in his house. The people of Itban gathered around the Prophet ﷺ, and they mentioned Malik bin Dukhshum, saying, "Messenger of Allah, he is such and such," hinting that he was a hypocrite.The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Does he not testify that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah?"They replied, "Yes, he does."He said, "By the One in whose hand my soul is, no servant says these words sincerely except that the Fire is forbidden to him."

أن عتبان بن مالك ذهب بصره فقال يا رسول الله لو جئت صليت في داري أو قال في بيتي لاتخذت مصلاك مسجدا فجاء النبي ﷺ فصلى في داره أو قال في بيته واجتمع قوم عتبان إلى النبي ﷺ قال فذكروا مالك بن الدخشم فقالوا يا رسول الله إنه وإنه يعرضون بالنفاق فقال النبي ﷺ أليس يشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وأني رسول الله قالوا بلى قال والذي نفسي بيده لا يقولها عبد صادق بها إلا حرمت عليه النار
