The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the Duha prayer when the sun was in the east at the same height it would be in the west at the time of the Asr prayer.
Its isnad is sahih. Muharibi is Abdul-Rahman bin Muhammad bin Ziyad Kufi, and he is trustworthy. Fudayl bin Marzuk is trustworthy, deemed so by Thawri, Ibn Uyayna, and others. Whoever criticized him only did so regarding narrations he related from Atiya Awfi, and the fault in those lies with Atiya. Bukhari gave Fudayl a biographical entry in Kabir 4/1/122 and mentioned no criticism of him. The hadith is given at length at 682. See also 1202 and 1241.
