The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away at the age of sixty, with fewer than twenty white hairs on his head and beard combined.
حدثنا أنس بن عياض حدثني ربيعة أنه
توفي رسول الله ﷺ وهو ابن ستين سنة ليس في رأسه ولحيته عشرون شعرة بيضاء
Its isnad is sahih. Rabia here is Rabia the jurist, Rabia bin Abu Abdul-Rahman, the well-known scholar of law. The hadith has appeared previously at 3380 and 1945, and will appear again at 16825 and 16816. When we compare the chains across all these narrations taken together, the soundest and strongest of them is that he died at the age of sixty-three.
