A man used to write in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he had memorized Surah al-Baqarah and Aal Imran. When a man had memorized al-Baqarah and Aal Imran, we considered him a person of great standing among us. He then mentioned a narration with the same meaning as the hadith of Yazid.

كان رجل يكتب بين يدي رسول الله ﷺ قد قرأ البقرة وآل عمران وكان الرجل إذا قرأ البقرة وآل عمران يعد فينا عظيما فذكر معنى حديث يزيد
