Anas bin Malik reported,

The Prophet ﷺ reached Khaybar in the early morning, and the people had already gone out with their shovels. When they saw him, they cried out, "Muhammad and his army! Muhammad and his army!" Then they turned and ran toward the fortress. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his hands and said "Allahu Akbar" three times, then said, "Khaybar is destroyed. When we descend upon the territory of a people, evil is the morning of those who have been warned."We caught some donkeys that had come out of the village and cooked them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah and His Messenger forbid you from the meat of domestic donkeys, for they are filth from the work of Satan."Sufyan said, "Muhammad and his khamis" means "Muhammad and the army."

حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن أيوب عن محمد

عن أنس قال

صبح النبي ﷺ خيبر بكرة وقد خرجوا بالمساحي فلما نظروا إليه قالوا محمد والخميس محمد والخميس ثم أحالوا يسعون إلى الحصن ورفع رسول الله ﷺ يديه ثم كبر ثلاثا ثم قال خربت خيبر إنا إذا نزلنا بساحة قوم فساء صباح المنذرين فأصبنا حمرا خارجة من القرية فاطبخناها فقال رسول الله ﷺ إن الله عز وجل ورسوله ينهيانكم عن الحمر الأهلية فإنها رجس من عمل الشيطان قال سفيان محمد والخميس يقول والجيش
