The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him, and whoever hates to meet Allah, Allah hates to meet him."We said, "Messenger of Allah, all of us hate death."He replied, "That is not what is meant by hating death. Rather, when the believer is at the point of death, the bearer of glad tidings comes to him from Allah with news of what he is heading toward, so nothing is more beloved to him than to meet Allah
, and so Allah loves to meet him. But when the wicked person, or the disbeliever, is at the point of death, he is informed of the evil he is heading toward, or the evil he will encounter, so he hates to meet Allah, and Allah hates to meet him."
