The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I entered Paradise and saw a palace of gold. I asked, 'Whose palace is this?' They said, 'It belongs to a young man from Quraysh.' I asked, 'Who?' They said, 'Umar bin Khattab.' Were it not for what I know of your jealousy, I would have entered it."Umar replied, "Messenger of Allah, would I be jealous of you?"
حدثنا ابن أبي عدي عن حميد
قال رسول الله ﷺ دخلت الجنة فإذا أنا بقصر من ذهب فقلت لمن هذا القصر قالوا لشاب من قريش قلت لمن قالوا لعمر بن الخطاب قال فلولا ما علمت من غيرتك لدخلته فقال عمر عليك يا رسول الله أغار
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari narrated it, 12/415, no. 7023, in the Book of Dream Interpretation, chapter on the palace seen in a dream, and Muslim, 4/1862, no. 2394, in the Book of the Virtues of the Companions, chapter on the virtues of Umar, from Jabir, and Tirmidhi, 5/619, no. 3688.
