Asim bin Damra reported,

Some of Ali's companions said to Ali , "Will you not tell us about the daytime prayer and voluntary devotions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"Ali replied, "By Allah, you would not be able to manage it."They said to him, "Tell us about it anyway, and we will take from it whatever we are able."Then he related the hadith in its full length.

عن عاصم بن ضمرة قال

قال ناس من أصحاب علي لعلي رضي الله عنه ألا تحدثنا بصلاة رسول الله ﷺ بالنهار والتطوع فقال علي رضي الله عنه إنكم والله لا تطيقونها فقالوا له أخبرنا بها نأخذ منها ما أطقنا فذكر الحديث بطوله
