Ali bin Abu Talib reported,

Ali said, "I received an old she-camel from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as part of my share of the spoils on the day of Badr, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had given me another she-camel as well. One day I made them kneel down by the door of a man from the Ansar, intending to load them with idhkhir grass to sell, and a goldsmith from the tribe of Banu Qaynuqa was with me to help me prepare for the wedding feast of Fatimah.Hamza bin Abdul-Muttalib was drinking inside that house, and he sprang up at the two camels with his sword, cut off their humps, slit open their flanks, and took out parts of their livers."I asked Ibn Shihab, "Did he take from the hump too?"He replied, "He cut off their humps and carried them away."Ali continued, "I beheld a sight that horrified me, so I went to the Prophet of Allah ﷺ, and Zayd bin Haritha was with him. I told him what had happened. He went out, with Zayd accompanying him, and I went along with them. He entered upon Hamza and showed his anger at him.Hamza raised his eyes and said, 'Are you anything but slaves of my father?'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stepped backward until he had withdrawn from them. This was before the prohibition of wine."

حدثنا عبد الرزاق أنبأنا ابن جريج حدثني ابن شهاب عن علي بن حسين بن علي عن أبيه حسين بن علي

عن علي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه قال

قال علي أصبت شارفا مع رسول الله ﷺ في المغنم يوم بدر وأعطاني رسول الله ﷺ شارفا أخرى فأنختهما يوما عند باب رجل من الأنصار وأنا أريد أن أحمل عليهما إذخرا لأبيعه ومعي صائغ من بني قينقاع لأستعين به على وليمة فاطمة وحمزة بن عبد المطلب يشرب في ذلك البيت فثار إليهما حمزة بالسيف فجب أسنمتهما وبقر خواصرهما ثم أخذ من أكبادهما قلت لابن شهاب ومن السنام قال جب أسنمتهما فذهب بها قال فنظرت إلى منظر أفظعني فأتيت نبي الله ﷺ وعنده زيد بن حارثة فأخبرته الخبر فخرج ومعه زيد فانطلق معه فدخل على حمزة فتغيظ عليه فرفع حمزة بصره فقال هل أنتم إلا عبيد لأبي فرجع رسول الله ﷺ يقهقر حتى خرج عنهم وذلك قبل تحريم الخمر
