We used to carry away dried strips of meat from the Hajj sacrifice as provisions, keeping it until almost a full year had passed over it.

Its isnad is sahih. Yazid bin Abu Hakeem and Hakam bin Abban are both trustworthy Adanis. The hadith appears in Bukhari with the wording, "We used to carry provisions of sacrificial meat during the time of the Prophet ﷺ to Madinah," and in another place he said, "the meat of the hadi." Fath al-Bari 10/23, no. 5567, in the book of sacrifices, chapter on what may be eaten from the meat of sacrifices.
