The Prophet ﷺ dispatched an expedition to Banu Lihyan, saying that one man from every two should set out. To the one who stayed behind, he said, "Whichever of you looks after the family and property of the one who goes out, doing so faithfully, will have a reward equal to half that of the one who went out."

أن النبي ﷺ بعث بعثا إلى بني لحيان قال يعني لينبعث من كل رجلين رجل وقال للقاعد أيكما خلف الخارج في أهله وماله بخير كان له مثل نصف أجر الخارج
