The Prophet ﷺ said, "The likeness of the believer and the likeness of faith is like a horse tethered to its post. It roams about, then returns to its post. The believer becomes heedless, then returns to faith. So feed your food to the pious and bestow your kindness upon the believers."Abu Abdul-Rahman al-Muqri narrated this to us, and his version is more complete.
حدثنا يعمر بن بشر أخبرنا عبد الله أخبرنا سعيد بن أبي أيوب حدثنا عبد الله بن الوليد عن أبي سليمان الليثي
عن النبي ﷺ قال مثل المؤمن ومثل الإيمان كمثل الفرس في آخيته يجول ثم يرجع إلى آخيته وإن المؤمن يسهو ثم يرجع إلى الإيمان فأطعموا طعامكم الأتقياء وأولوا معروفكم المؤمنين حدثناه أبو عبد الرحمن المقرئ وهذا أتم
