The Messenger of Allah ﷺ narrated to us a long hadith about the Dajjal, in which he said, "The Dajjal will come, but he will be forbidden from entering the mountain passes of Medina. A man will go out to meet him on that day, the best of people or among the best of them, and he will say, 'I bear witness that you are the Dajjal whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told us about.'The Dajjal will say, 'What do you think, if I kill this man and then bring him back to life, will you still have any doubt about the matter?'They will say, 'No.'So he will kill him and then bring him back to life. When the man is revived, he will say, 'By Allah, I have never had clearer insight about you than I do now.'The Dajjal will then try to kill him a second time, but he will not be given power over him."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر عن الزهري قال أخبرني عبيد الله بن عبد الله أن
حدثنا رسول الله ﷺ حديثا طويلا عن الدجال فقال فيما يحدثنا قال يأتي الدجال وهو محرم عليه أن يدخل نقاب المدينة فيخرج إليه رجل يومئذ وهو خير الناس أو من خيرهم فيقول أشهد أنك الدجال الذي حدثنا رسول الله ﷺ حديثه فيقول الدجال أرأيتم إن قتلت هذا ثم أحييته أتشكون في الأمر فيقولون لا فيقتله ثم يحييه فيقول حين يحيا والله ما كنت قط أشد بصيرة فيك مني الآن قال فيريد قتله الثانية فلا يسلط عليه
