The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had forbidden eating sacrificial meat after three days. Qatada bin Numan, Abu Saeed's maternal brother, came to visit, and they brought him some cured sacrificial meat. He said, "This seems to be from the cured sacrificial meat."They said, "Yes."He said, "Didn't the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid this?"Abu Saeed replied, "A new ruling has come regarding it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had forbidden us to keep it for more than three days, but then he permitted us to eat it and store it."
