The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The person of the Fire receiving the lightest punishment will be a man wearing two sandals whose straps cause his brain to boil. Among them will be those submerged in the Fire up to their ankles while the punishment runs through them. Among them will be those in the Fire up to their knees while the punishment runs through them. Among them will be those plunged into the Fire up to the tip of their nose while the punishment runs through them. Among them will be those in the Fire up to their chest while the punishment runs through them. And among them will be those completely submerged in the Fire."Affan added, "while the punishment runs through them, completely submerged."

قال رسول الله ﷺ أهون أهل النار عذابا رجل في رجليه نعلان يغلي منهما دماغه ومنهم في النار إلى كعبيه مع إجراء العذاب ومنهم من في النار إلى ركبتيه مع إجراء العذاب ومنهم من اغتمر في النار إلى أرنبته مع إجراء العذاب ومنهم من هو في النار إلى صدره مع إجراء العذاب ومنهم من قد اغتمر في النار قال عفان مع إجراء العذاب قد اغتمر
