The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Kill the two black ones during prayer, the snake and the scorpion."
حدثنا مسلم بن إبراهيم حدثنا علي بن المبارك عن يحيى بن أبي كثير عن ضمضم بن جوس
قال رسول الله ﷺ اقتلوا الأسودين في الصلاة الحية والعقرب
[Sahih] Reported by Tirmidhi, Prayer, chapter on what has been said about killing the two black creatures during prayer, 390, from the hadith of Ali bin Mubarak, and Nasai: 1203, and Ibn Majah: 1245, from the hadith of Yahya bin Abu Kathir with the same wording, and he explicitly stated hearing it directly in Ahmad's version: 2/473. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, 869, as did Ibn Hibban, 528, and Hakim, 1/256, and Dhahabi concurred with him.
