The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade praying in a single sheet without wrapping part of it across the shoulder, and he forbade praying in trousers without a cloak over you.

نهى رسول الله ﷺ أن يصلي في لحاف لا يتوشح به والآخر أن تصلي في سراويل وليس عليك رداء
Its isnad is hasan. Bayhaqi reported it, 2/236, and Hakim graded it sahih according to the standard of the two Shaykhs, 1/250, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
