A woman used to perform circumcision in Madinah, and the Prophet ﷺ said to her, "Do not cut severely, for that is better for the woman and more pleasing to the husband."Abu Dawud said, It has been narrated from Ubaydullah bin Amr from Abdul-Malik with the same meaning and chain of transmission.

Its isnad is daif. Bayhaqi (8/324) narrated it from the hadith of Marwan bin Muawiya Fazari, with the same wording.Ibn Hassan is unknown, and it has been said that he is the crucified liar. The hadith has two daif corroborating narrations with Bayhaqi.Bukhari narrated in Adab al-Mufrad (1247) with a hasan chain, stopping at the companion, that the daughters of Ayesha's brother were circumcised, and so on, but this does not corroborate it.
