I asked, "Messenger of Allah, who is most deserving of my kindness?"He said, "Your mother, then your mother, then your mother, then your father, then the next closest relative and the next."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ also said, "No man asks his master for some surplus he has and is refused it, except that on the Day of Resurrection the surplus he withheld will be summoned for him in the form of a bald, venomous serpent."
حدثنا محمد بن كثير أخبرنا سفيان
قلت يا رسول الله من أبر قال أمك ثم أمك ثم أمك ثم أباك ثم الأقرب فالأقرب وقال رسول الله ﷺ لا يسأل رجل مولاه من فضل هو عنده فيمنعه إياه إلا دعي له يوم القيامة فضله الذي منعه شجاعا أقرع
[Its chain is hasan] Tirmidhi narrated it in the chapters on Kindness and Ties of Kinship, chapter on what has been said regarding kindness to parents, hadith no. 1897, from the hadith of Bahz bin Hakeem, and he said, "Hasan." Hakim graded it sahih in 3/642 and 4/150, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
