I came to the Prophet ﷺ, and the people began to praise me and speak well of me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I know him best."I said, "You have spoken truly, may my father and mother be ransom for you. You were my partner, and what an excellent partner you were. You neither evaded nor disputed."
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا يحيى عن سفيان قال حدثني إبراهيم بن المهاجر عن مجاهد عن قائد السائب
أتيت النبي ﷺ فجعلوا يثنون علي ويذكروني فقال رسول الله ﷺ أنا أعلمكم يعني به قلت صدقت بأبي أنت وأمي كنت شريكي فنعم الشريك كنت لا تداري ولا تماري
[Its chain is daif] Ibn Majah reported it in the Book of Business Transactions, Chapter on Partnership and Mudarabah, hadith no. 2287, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, with the same chain. As for the guide of Saaib, I did not find a biography for him, and there is confusion in the chain, as noted in Taqrib Tahdhib and elsewhere.
