The Jews brought to the Prophet ﷺ a man and a woman from among them who had committed adultery.He said, "Bring me the two most learned men among you."So they brought to him the two sons of Suriya. He adjured them, "How do you find the ruling concerning these two in the Torah?"They replied, "We find in the Torah that if four witnesses testify that they saw his organ inside her private parts like a stick in a kohl container, they are to be stoned."He asked, "Then what prevents you from stoning them?"They answered, "Our authority is gone, and we disliked carrying out the killing."So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called for the witnesses, and four came forward and testified that they had seen his organ inside her private parts like a stick in a kohl container. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then ordered that the two be stoned.
حدثنا يحيى بن موسى البلخي حدثنا أبو أسامة قال مجالد أخبرنا عن عامر
جاءت اليهود برجل وامرأة منهم زنيا فقال ائتوني بأعلم رجلين منكم فأتوه بابني صوريا فنشدهما كيف تجدان أمر هذين في التوراة قالا نجد في التوراة إذا شهد أربعة أنهم رأوا ذكره في فرجها مثل الميل في المكحلة رجما قال فما يمنعكما أن ترجموهما قالا ذهب سلطاننا فكرهنا القتل فدعا رسول الله ﷺ بالشهود فجاءوا بأربعة فشهدوا أنهم رأوا ذكره في فرجها مثل الميل في المكحلة فأمر رسول الله ﷺ برجمهما
Its chain is daif. Ibn Majah narrated it in the Book of Rulings, chapter on the testimony of the People of the Book against one another, hadith 2374, from the hadith of Mujalid bin Saeed. He is daif, as mentioned previously, hadith 2851.
