The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "Abu Dharr."I replied, "At your service, Messenger of Allah, and ready to please you."He asked, "How will you be when death strikes the people so severely that a single grave will cost the price of a slave?"I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best," or, "Whatever Allah and His Messenger choose."He said, "You must be patient," or he said, "Then be patient."
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا حماد بن زيد عن أبي عمران عن المشعث بن طريف عن عبد الله بن الصامت
قال لي رسول الله ﷺ يا أبا ذر قلت لبيك يا رسول الله وسعديك فقال كيف أنت إذا أصاب الناس موت يكون البيت فيه بالوصيف يعني القبر قلت الله ورسوله أعلم أو ما خار الله ورسوله قال عليك بالصبر أو قال تصبر
