The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah will not cause this ummah to fall short of half a day."

[Its chain of transmission is sahih] Ibn Jareer Tabari narrated it in his Tarikh, 1/16, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Wahb, and Ahmad narrated it, 4/193, from the hadith of Muawiya bin Salih similarly. Hakim graded it sahih, 4/424, according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), and Dhahabi agreed with him.
