The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in the Isha prayer one night near the end of his life. When he gave the closing salam, he stood up and said, "Do you see this night of yours? At the head of a hundred years from it, no one who is on the face of the earth today will remain alive."Ibn Umar said, "People misunderstood what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in those reports they circulate about a hundred years. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ only meant that no one alive on the face of the earth today would still be living. He meant that this generation would pass away."
