The Prophet ﷺ said, "I truly hope that my nation will not be unable, before their Lord, to be granted a delay of half a day."Saad was asked, "How long is half of that day?"He replied, "Five hundred years."
حدثنا عمرو بن عثمان حدثنا أبو المغيرة حدثني صفوان عن شريح بن عبيد
أن النبي ﷺ قال إني لأرجو أن لا تعجز أمتي عند ربها أن يؤخرهم نصف يوم قيل لسعد وكم نصف ذلك اليوم قال خمس مائة سنة
[Its chain is daif] due to its being disconnected, and the preceding hadith, no. 4349, suffices in its place.
