The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When a servant of one of you prepares food for him and then brings it to him, having endured its heat and smoke, let him seat the servant with him to eat. And if the food is scarce, let him place in his hand a morsel or two."
حدثنا القعنبي حدثنا داود بن قيس عن موسى بن يسار
قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا صنع لأحدكم خادمه طعاما ثم جاءه به وقد ولي حره ودخانه فليقعده معه ليأكل فإن كان الطعام مشفوها فليضع في يده منه أكلة أو أكلتين
Muslim narrated it in the chapter on feeding the slave from what one eats etc., in the Book of Oaths, hadith no. 1663, from Qanabi with this wording. Bukhari also narrated it, hadith no. 2557, through another route from Abu Hurairah with this wording.
