The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to lick his three fingers after eating a meal, and he said, "If a morsel of food falls from one of you, let him remove any dirt from it and eat it, and not leave it for the devil." He commanded us to wipe the plate clean and said, "None of you knows in which part of his food the blessing lies."
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا حماد عن ثابت
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان إذا أكل طعاما لعق أصابعه الثلاث وقال إذا سقطت لقمة أحدكم فليمط عنها الأذى وليأكلها ولا يدعها للشيطان وأمرنا أن نسلت الصحفة وقال إن أحدكم لا يدري في أي طعامه يبارك له
