She reported that a woman asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Messenger of Allah, what should one of us do if menstrual blood gets on her garment?"He replied, "If menstrual blood gets on the garment of any of you, she should scrape it off, then rinse it with water, and then pray in it."
Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on Menstruation, section on washing menstrual blood, no. 307, and Muslim in the chapter on Purification, section on the impurity of blood and how to wash it, no. 291, from the hadith of Malik through this route, and it is found in the Muwatta (the narration of Abdul-Rahman bin Qasim), no. 480, and the narration of Abu Musab (1/66, no. 166). It occurs in the narration of Yahya (1/60, 61) with an error that is beyond doubt, see al-Tamhid, 22/229.
