I heard a woman asking the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "What should one of us do with her garment after she becomes pure following menstruation? May she pray in it?"He replied, "She should examine it. If she finds any blood on it, she should rub the spot with a little water and sprinkle water on the parts where she sees nothing, then she may pray in it."

Sourcing, [its chain of transmission is hasan]. Darimi narrated it, no. 778, from the hadith of Ibn Ishaq, through the same route, and he stated explicitly that he had heard it directly. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 276. See also the following hadith.
