The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman has no authority to dispose of her wealth once her husband holds the bond of marriage over her."
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا حماد عن داود بن أبي هند وحبيب المعلم
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لا يجوز لامرأة أمر في مالها إذا ملك زوجها عصمتها
[Its isnad is hasan]. Nasai narrated it in the book on life grants, chapter "A woman's gift without her husband's permission," no. 3787, from the hadith of Hammad bin Salama with similar wording. Ibn Mulaqqin graded it sahih in Tuhfat al-Muhtaj, no. 1266, as did Hakim, 2/47, and Dhahabi agreed with him. It has another route in Ibn Majah, no. 2388.
