The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Return the trust to the one who entrusted you, and do not betray the one who betrayed you."
[Its isnad is daif]. Tirmidhi narrated it in Buyu, chapter, Return the trust to the one who entrusted it to you, no. 1264, from the hadith of Talq bin Ghunam with this wording, and he said, "hasan gharib." Hakim declared it sahih according to the criteria of Muslim, 2/46, and Dhahabi agreed with him. The hadith has very many corroborating narrations, all of them daif. Sharik conceals his source and narrated with the ambiguous transmission formula "an," and Qays is daif.
