The Prophet ﷺ would accept gifts and give something in return for them.
حدثنا علي بن بحر وعبد الرحيم بن مطرف الرؤاسي قالا حدثنا عيسى وهو ابن يونس بن أبي إسحق السبيعي عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه
أن النبي ﷺ كان يقبل الهدية ويثيب عليها
Bukhari narrated it in "Gifts and Their Merit and Encouragement Toward Them," chapter on reciprocating gifts, hadith no. 2585, from the hadith of Isa bin Yunus, through him, in "Gifts."
