Abu Bakr bin Abdul-Rahman reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whenever a man sells goods and the buyer becomes bankrupt before the seller has received any of the price, and the seller finds his goods intact, he has the greatest right to them. But if the buyer has died, the owner of the goods stands on equal footing with the other creditors."
