Mukhalad bin Khafaf Ghifari reported,

There was a slave jointly owned between me and some other people. I bought out the shares of those who were absent and put the slave to work. He earned me some income. One of the partners then disputed with me over his share before one of the judges, who ordered me to return the income to him.I went to Urwa bin Zubayr and told him what had happened. Urwa went to the judge and reported to him from Ayesha from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said, "The earnings belong to the one who bears the liability."

حدثنا محمود بن خالد عن سفيان عن محمد بن عبد الرحمن

عن مخلد بن خفاف الغفاري قال

كان بيني وبين أناس شركة في عبد فاقتويته وبعضنا غائب فأغل علي غلة فخاصمني في نصيبه إلى بعض القضاة فأمرني أن أرد الغلة فأتيت عروة بن الزبير فحدثته فأتاه عروة فحدثه عن عائشة رضي الله عنها عن رسول الله ﷺ قال الخراج بالضمان
