The Prophet ﷺ granted a concession permitting the sale of araya in exchange for dried dates or fresh dates.
حدثنا أحمد بن صالح حدثنا ابن وهب أخبرني يونس عن ابن شهاب أخبرني
أن النبي ﷺ رخص في بيع العرايا بالتمر والرطب
Its isnad is sahih. Nasai narrated it in the Book of Sales, chapter on selling grapes for raisins, no. 4541, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Wahb, by the same route. Bukhari narrated it, no. 2173, and Muslim, no. 61/1539, from the hadith of Zayd bin Thabit, by the same route.
