She was picking lice from the head of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while the wife of Uthman bin Affan and other women from among the Muhajirat were with him. They were complaining about their houses, that the homes felt too cramped for them and they were being made to leave them. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded that the houses of the Muhajirun be inherited by their women. When Abdullah bin Masud died, his wife inherited from him a house in Medina.

أنها كانت تفلي رأس رسول الله ﷺ وعنده امرأة عثمان بن عفان ونساء من المهاجرات وهن يشتكين منازلهن أنها تضيق عليهن ويخرجن منها فأمر رسول الله ﷺ أن تورث دور المهاجرين النساء فمات عبد الله بن مسعود فورثته امرأته دارا بالمدينة
