The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Along with the newborn boy is his aqiqah, so shed blood for him and remove the harm from him."
حدثنا الحسن بن علي حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا هشام بن حسان عن حفصة بنت سيرين عن الرباب
قال رسول الله ﷺ مع الغلام عقيقته فأهريقوا عنه دما وأميطوا عنه الأذى
Bukhari narrated it in "Aqiqah," chapter "Removing the harmful thing from the child during the aqiqah," Hadith 5471 and 5472, from the hadith of Hisham bin Hassan through this same chain, and it is also found in Musannaf Abdul-Razzaq, Hadith 7958.
