He used to say that "removing the harm" means shaving the head.

أنه كان يقول إماطة الأذى حلق الرأس
Its chain is daif. Bayhaqi (9/298) narrated it from the hadith of Abu Dawud through the same route. Hisham bin Hassan is a mudallis, and he narrated it with an unclear form of transmission (anana).
