The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the slaughter of Shaytan.Ibn Isa added in his narration that this refers to an animal whose skin is cut without severing the jugular veins, then it is left until it dies.

Sourcing, its isnad is daif. Ahmad narrated it, 1/289, from the hadith of Ibn Mubarak, with this wording, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1074, as did Hakim, 4/113, and Dhahabi agreed with him.Amr bin Abdullah, he is daif according to the more correct view, the majority graded him daif.
