I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the fetus found inside a slaughtered animal, and he said, "Eat it if you wish."Musaddad's version reads, We said, "Messenger of Allah, we slaughter a camel, a cow, or a sheep, and we find a fetus in its belly. Should we throw it away or eat it?"He replied, "Eat it if you wish, for the slaughter of its mother counts as its slaughter."
حدثنا القعنبي حدثنا ابن المبارك ح و حدثنا مسدد حدثنا هشيم عن مجالد عن أبي الوداك
سألت رسول الله ﷺ عن الجنين فقال كلوه إن شئتم وقال مسدد قلنا يا رسول الله ننحر الناقة ونذبح البقرة والشاة فنجد في بطنها الجنين أنلقيه أم نأكله قال كلوه إن شئتم فإن ذكاته ذكاة أمه
Sahih. Tirmidhi transmitted it in the Book of Hunting, in the chapter on what has been narrated about slaughtering a fetus, hadith no. 1476, from the hadith of Mujalid through this chain, and said, hasan sahih. Ibn Majah also narrated it, hadith no. 3199.Mujalid was corroborated by Yunus bin Abu Ishaq (Mawarid Zaman, 1077), and the hadith has other chains as well.
