A young man from Aslam said, "Messenger of Allah, I wish to go out for jihad but I have no provisions to equip myself with."He replied, "Go to so-and-so, the Ansari, for he had prepared his equipment but then fell ill. Tell him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sends you his greetings of peace, and say to him, 'Hand over to me the equipment you prepared.'"The young man went to him and conveyed the message. The Ansari said to his wife, "So-and-so, hand over to him everything you prepared for me, and do not hold back anything of it. By Allah, you will not hold back anything of it without Allah blessing you in it."
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا حماد أخبرنا ثابت البناني
أن فتى من أسلم قال يا رسول الله إني أريد الجهاد وليس لي مال أتجهز به قال اذهب إلى فلان الأنصاري فإنه كان قد تجهز فمرض فقل له إن رسول الله ﷺ يقرئك السلام وقل له ادفع إلي ما تجهزت به فأتاه فقال له ذلك فقال لامرأته يا فلانة ادفعي له ما جهزتني به ولا تحبسي منه شيئا فوالله لا تحبسين منه شيئا فيبارك الله فيه
