When the Prophet ﷺ arrived in Medina returning from the expedition of Tabuk, the people came out to meet him, and I went out with the children to receive him at Thaniyyat al-Wada.
حدثنا ابن السرح حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري
لما قدم النبي ﷺ المدينة من غزوة تبوك تلقاه الناس فلقيته مع الصبيان على ثنية الوداع
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Military Expeditions, Chapter on the Prophet's ﷺ Letter to Khosrow and Caesar, hadith no. 4427, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, with this chain.
