The Messenger of Allah ﷺ departed in tranquility, instructing the people to throw pebbles the size of small stones used for flicking, and he quickened his pace through the valley of Muhassir.
حدثنا محمد بن كثير حدثنا سفيان حدثني أبو الزبير
أفاض رسول الله ﷺ وعليه السكينة وأمرهم أن يرموا بمثل حصى الخذف وأوضع في وادي محسر
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Nasai also narrated it in the Book of the Rites of Hajj, Chapter on the Command to Observe Tranquility While Departing from Arafah, hadith 3024, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, with the same chain. Muslim narrated it, hadith 1299, from Abu Zubayr, with the same chain, in a very abridged form.Abu Zubayr transmitted it using an ambiguous form (an'ana).
