The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are five creatures that may be killed even within the sacred precinct, the snake, the scorpion, the kite, the mouse, and the rabid dog."
حدثنا علي بن بحر حدثنا حاتم بن إسمعيل حدثني محمد بن عجلان عن القعقاع بن حكيم عن أبي صالح
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال خمس قتلهن حلال في الحرم الحية والعقرب والحدأة والفأرة والكلب العقور
[Hasan] Bayhaqi narrated it: 5/210, from the hadith of Abu Dawud with this same wording, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, h: 2667. The hadith has very many corroborating witnesses.
